Macerich Announces Fourth Quarter 2003 Earnings Release and Conference Call Information

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 2004--The Macerich Company (NYSE Symbol:MAC) today announced that it will release fourth quarter earnings results on February 10, 2004. A conference call is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 to discuss the quarterly results. Arthur Coppola, President and CEO of The Macerich Company and Thomas E. O'Hern, Executive Vice President and CFO, will host the call.

Interested parties can listen to a live web cast of the call on The Macerich Company web site at www.macerich.com or www.fulldisclosure.com. To listen, please go to the web site at least fifteen minutes prior to the start time of the call in order to register, download and install any necessary audio software.
